It is such an honour to be able to capture your first memories together as a new family unit. We love to photograph every detail, from the tiniest little finger nails to the chubbiest little cheeks.

  • The ideal time for a newborn shoot is within the first 10 days. At this stage, they are still very sleepy and have that newborn scrunch (where they tend to curl themselves up). It is also before their skin starts to peel and they begin to cluster feed. I know not everything goes to plan, or maybe your little one is already born. Please don’t worry! My sessions are up to 3 hours for a reason. It allows plenty of time for feeding and settling, so if they are a little bit older, we will still be able to get gorgeous photos of you as a family.

  • I would generally recommend getting in touch when you are around 20 weeks pregnant. Although I might have last minute availability, this can’t always be guaranteed.

  • Once you are booked in, I always keep spaces in my week to reschedule shoots. I am very used to juggling my diary! If you’re baby makes an early appearance, drop me a message if you want to bring your shoot forwards. If your baby still hasn’t arrive 7 days before your shoot date, I would recommend getting in touch at that point to push your date a bit later.

  • Please do! It’s so important to have photos of the whole family together, especially the first few days together with a new member. Sometimes things can be a bit trickier with an older sibling, but I have plenty of advice I will send out after booking. I welcome furry older siblings as well!

  • This is a long shoot, so I always recommend bringing plenty of snacks and drinks for you, as well as milk and nappies for the baby. I have a client closet in the studio, so you are more than welcome to borrow anything for you and the baby, but please bring a few changes of clothes for you all as well. If you have any sentimental items you would like to include as well, then feel free!

  • Sometimes you might not feel ready to leave the house with a newborn baby, so I am always more than happy to come to you instead. See Home Sessions. There maybe a small travel fee depending on your location but I will discuss that with you before booking.
